A practical minimum-stay review for holiday rentals

Marbella Hospitality · Prepared · Practical note

Minimum stays should protect operational capacity without blocking useful demand. Review the gaps they create before applying one rule across all dates.

A practical approach

  1. List unsold gaps between confirmed reservations.
  2. Check whether your restriction makes each gap bookable.
  3. Relax rules only where housekeeping and arrival coverage permit.

An example to consider

A four-night minimum cannot fill a three-night gap. A shorter booking may still be useful when its net revenue covers the extra turnover.

What to track

Track gap nights sold and turnover cost per occupied night.
